Compliance
We play by the rules.
There are countless websites that advise consumers on how to deal with collection agencies and very few of them are complementary - they often accusing debt collectors of lying, cheating and generally harassing debtors in a manner well beyond what the law allows.
There is little Advantage Collection Professionals can do to change this negative perception except to make absolutely sure that none of our associates add to it.
We insist that debtors - your customers, after all - are treated honestly, ethically, and with the utmost respect.
In addition, we have a Compliance Officer responsible for ensuring that every ACP associate complies with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. We continually review and update company policies and procedures to meet new requirements, and we regularly participate in continuing education programs to stay abreast of changes on the law.
ACP maintains full compliance with laws and regulations that include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
- Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
- Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA)
- Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Licensing
- Insurance
- Bonding
- Minnesota Attorney General Hospital Agreement
This is not only essential to protect your good name; it is also a major reason why ACP consistently recovers debts at rates well above the industry average.
Click on “Contact Us” and a member of our staff will contact you as quickly as possible to explain how we recover your delinquent receivables in an ethical and fully compliant manner.
